Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

SUSANNA Reid revealed she's kept teetotal through the whole of lockdown on today's Good Morning Britain - but Piers Morgan admitted he can't go a day without wine.

The presenters' contrasting attitudes to drink were revealed after they bickered over vegan sausage rolls, with Susanna a supporter of the popular snack while Piers remains critical.

Susanna proudly declared: "I haven't had a drink with lock down its enforced my teetotal." Of his own drinking habits, Piers said: "I probably have a couple of glasses of wine a night. "I couldn't imagine having a day without wine.

You can't do anything. The days are too long." He clarified: "I don't sit on my own in the kitchen." And he then joked to Susanna: "No wonder you’re so miserable.
