Kate Middleton has headed out on her first family outing since having planned abdominal surgery last month, and is said to be 'recovering well'.The Princess of Wales was staying at the London Clinic following her procedure, and returned to her home on the Windsor estate on January 29.She is now said to be 'on the mend' as she headed off for a half-term holiday in the Sandringham Estate, Norfolk, with her husband Prince William and their three children George, Charlotte and Louis. The Express reports that this estate is where King Charles and Camilla are currently staying.
A source told the MailOnline: "Catherine is recovering well. She was looking forward to a change of scene and will be able to take it easy in Norfolk while the children let off steam with William."Kate's surgery, which was not related to cancer, means she will be unlikely to return to royal duties until after Easter based on medical advice.
Prince William has also taken a step back from work to support his wife and help look after their three children. It comes as King Charles will also be out of action for a while after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this week.
The 75-year-old monarch recently underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate, during which medical professionals discovered the illness.
