After a great deal of speculation about her whereabouts as she continues her recovery from abdominal surgery, Kate Middleton was pictured being driven in Windsor with her mum, Carole Middleton.The sighting of the Princess marks the first time she has been seen in public since Christmas, and, while she is not set to return to her public duties until after Easter, one of Kate's first engagements has been confirmed for June.
As Colonel of the Irish Guards, the Princess will carry out the Colonel's Review in London on Saturday, June 8 ahead of the the Trooping the Colour parade to mark the King's official birthday on Saturday, June 15.
Kate's attendance has been confirmed by the Ministry of Defence. The Princess of Wales took over as Colonel of the Irish Guards in December 2022.
Prince William had previously held the role since 2011, but he stepped down from the role to take over as Colonel of the Welsh Guards - a position King Charles had previously held since 1975.
