Kerry Lotto winner must wait to collect €9.7million jackpot due to coronavirus restrictions

The winner of last Saturday's Lotto draw of €9.7 million has made contact with the National Lottery but will be unable to collect the jackpot until after the Government has lifted Covid-19 restrictions on movement.

The holder of the winning ticket made contact by phone with officials of the National Lottery earlier today. Lottery officials were able to validate the win from details on the ticket.

No details of the winner have been revealed. RTÉ News understands that the jackpot, the biggest ever won in Kerry, has been claimed by a local person.
