Liverpool are reportedly set to focus on securing the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker after missing out to Chelsea in the race to sign Timo Werner.
Frank Lampard's side look set to sign Werner after offering the RB Leipzig star a deal worth £200,000-per-week. Liverpool had previously been widely considered favourites in the race to land the Germany striker, but unlike Chelsea they have been unwilling to trigger the £50million release clause due to the financial ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic.
Instead, the Reds will concentrate on rewarding the players who helped the club to last season's Champions League triumph and this term's Premier League domination.
