Love Island could be set to be pre-recorded in a bid to protect contestants from the shock of fame when the show returns in 2021.
According to reports the ITV dating show, which has been cancelled this summer due to the coronavirus pandemic, could no longer be filmed live.
Instead, contestants will return to the UK and will reportedly be able to watch the show once filming has concluded in a bid to “ease them” into the world of reality TV.
A source claimed: “The welfare of the islanders is the top priority for ITV bosses and there are continual talks about it. “Pre-recording the show is one of the ideas to be mooted in planning meetings.
