Martin Kemp, the 80s pop icon with Spandau Ballet, 90s film star in The Krays and early 2000s EastEnders regular, has revealed his candid approach to discussing all aspects of life with his son Roman.This includes not only frank discussions about sex, but also the challenging topic of death.On their father-son podcast FFS, My Dad Is Martin Kemp, the pop star expressed his preference for his 32-year-old son rather than older sister Harley Moon to make the decision to withdraw end-of-life care if it ever became necessary.He justified this by saying "because you're a man", explaining that Harley Moon, now 35, is more emotional than Roman."You can block things out more easily," he told his son.When questioned about the potential sexism of his decision, Martin clarified: "It's not whether you're a man or a woman, it's who you are as a personality." He added that, despite how difficult it may seem, "when it comes to pulling the plug on someone... giving the doctor the wink and saying 'that's enough', you'll know".Martin opened up about his views on organ donation, expressing support but acknowledging a personal barrier.
He said: "I had hepatitis back in the day. Once you've had any form of [hepatitis], I don't think you can do organ donation."Despite this, Martin holds no reservations about the concept itself, stating: "Once you're dead, you're dead.
