Popular health expert Dr Michael Mosley has been reported missing while on a Greek island.The last sighting of the presenter, who appears on This Morning and BBC Sounds Just One Thing, was on the island of Symi, sparking concerns for his safety.Local social media updates have indicated that search and rescue teams from Athens are en route to the Dodecanese island, with officials yet to find any trace of Dr Mosley.His representatives have spoken to the Mirror, expressing their deep concern during this distressing time, confirming that the search efforts continue.
Greek police spokesperson Constantina Dimoglidou reported that searches commenced early in the morning but have so far been fruitless.
The statement said: "He was at the beach of Ag. Nikolas with another couple when he decided to go back to his home in the area of Pedi of Symi.
It was around 1.30pm and he forgot his phone at the beach. Any and every attempt to track him down has not produced any result."Dimoglidou further explained the breadth of the search, stating: "We have now asked the fire brigade to assist in the operation in the case that he may have slipped, tripped, fallen, even bitten by a snake, remaining injured somewhere.
