Michail Antonio has been rushed to hospital after being stuck inside his smashed Ferrari for nearly an hour after spinning off the road in a horror smash.The West Ham striker was airlifted to a central London hospital on December 6 after crashing his Ferrari in Theydon Bois, Essex.

The club said Antonio is in a stable condition and is “conscious and communicating” following the incident.Essex Police were called at 12.50pm on Saturday to reports of a single vehicle collision.

Shocking images showed Antonio’s wrecked silver Ferrari FF with the driver’s side of the vehicle completely destroyed after smashing into a tree.The car, which retails for £260,000 and has a top speed of 208mph, had the right wing ripped off, the door missing and the windscreen demolished.

The damage was so severe that it took emergency services until 1.45pm – some 55 minutes – to extract him from the wreckage and airlift him to hospital.One eyewitness said: “There were other cars stopped and people were on their phones calling 999.
