Loose Women star Andrea McLean has opened up about how a heartbreaking health diagnosis led her to give her then-boyfriend an ultimatum.The 54 year old star revealed to Giovanna Fletcher on the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast that she was diagnosed with endometriosis, a condition where cells similar to those in the lining of the uterus grow elsewhere in the body, often leading to fertility issues.

Recalling the moment a doctor told her "it would be a miracle if you have a baby", Andrea said it felt like she'd been punched.

She noticed mothers and children for the first time and felt a wave of longing. At the time, she was in an 11-year relationship with Nick Green.

She remembered waiting for him to come home so she could share the news. Andrea explained: "I said, 'if I'm going to have children, I need to start thinking about it soon because once I get into my 30s [she was 28/29 at the time] it will get harder the longer I leave it.
