The 62-year-old updated fans from her hospital bed on Monday (September 16) admitting she'd been left 'doubled down in agony' after suffering from a kidney stone but had been 'completely fine' earlier on Sunday (September 15) before things took a sudden turn.
Taking to Instagram, Vanessa said in a video from her bed as she appeared hooked up to drips: "Good morning from hospital, bit of a surprise, yesterday I was absolutely fine, completely fine and I had the [grandchildren] over for lunch and I was completely fine. The presenter, who was filling in for Storm Huntley on the Jeremy Vine show last week, admitted that while she is usually a "trooper" when it comes to her health, however she felt so poorly, she was forced to miss her LBC radio show, the Mirror reports.
Explaining how bad she felt, she continued: "I was in agony I couldn't sit down, I couldn't lie down, I didn't know what to do, it was absolutely astounding." Vanessa then said that she underwent a scan where medics discovered the kidney stone was 5mm, before being rushed to surgery to have it removed.
