A heroin addict mum was found dead in a hostel, just a day after being gifted £10 bag of drugs for her 50th birthday. Wendy Shenton, from Stoke-on-Trent, had spoken being given the gift in a final conversation with her son before she died last October.
She was found dead at the Salvation Army hostel, in Vale Street, Stoke, after her son Ashley raised the alarm when he could not reach her, an inquest heard.
