A mum has credited her gastric sleeve operation in Turkey for saving her life after she lost so much weight it revealed a shock diagnosis.Following the death of her mum, Katie Schofield, 32, suffered mental health issues and gained 5st.

It led her to going to Turkey for gastric sleeve surgery, and while she said she wasn't happy with the procedure, she lost lots of weight.

As her body changed, she found a pea-sized lump on her left breast and was diagnosed with breast cancer - the same type which had killed her mum.

And just two weeks later her dad, David, a 61-year-old machine operator was also quickly diagnosed with stage two breast cancer.
