A mum thought her toddler was teething after he 'woke up in a bit of a funk' - before he was diagnosed by a 111 doctor with coronavirus.
Jess Mitchell's son Perran was taken ill with a 'roaring temperature' on Mother's Day. His family is now in isolation. While he is expected to make a full recovery, Jessie has issued a warning about the dangers of babies and toddlers carrying the virus without parents realising.
Jess, 32, from Looe, Cornwall, who works in admin for Devon and Cornwall Police, said she first noticed her son's symptoms on Sunday (March 22), but didn't initially think anything was seriously wrong as he had been badly teething.
