Mum who brushed off back pain given just 12 months to live in cancer diagnosis

A mum-of-four who brushed off having back pain and a reduced appetite as minor issues was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, turning her family's world "upside down".

Jo Bromilow, 45, was given the devastating news by medics on January 10 she had just 12 months to live, after eventually undergoing a CT scan for her back.Her 21-year-old daughter Mia said Jo didn't think her symptoms were anything to worry about at first, the Mirror reports.

Mia, from Maghull, Merseyside, said: "She started getting back ache and she couldn't eat anything but we didn't think [it would be] anything like this.

Our world's been turned upside down."Jo's four children range in age from 25 to 10. Mia described her mum as her "rock", "guide" and "greatest source of love".
