A mum-of-three, who tried to clear a garden space for her children to enjoy while staying at home, was shocked after she was slapped with a £400 fly-tipping fine.
Sarah Capewell had dismantled a shed at the back of her terrace house so her children would have somewhere to play during lockdown.
The 34-year-old propped the shed parts up against a back fence, along with an old pram, TV and baby see-saw, ready for her dad to take to the tip when they reopened in Stoke-on-Trent.
But she was then shocked to receive a fixed penalty notice through her letterbox in Penkhull, on the very same day the recycling centres were back up and running, Stoke on Trent Live reports.
