Neighbourhood in shock after horror stabbing leaves man in hospital

An eerie quiet hangs over Albert Fildes Walk in Cheetham Hill. On Saturday night someone was stabbed outside an address on the street, with police being called to the scene at around 10.30pm.

A cordon was put in place around a property in which there were three forensics tents, one white and two blue. Police were still at the scene on Sunday afternoon, as some members of the local community began arriving at mosque.

Police have not made any arrests at this stage. One resident told the Manchester Evening News: "The people in this area are very peaceful and very loving.
