This weekend saw an uptick in theories about the Princess of Wales, specifically as fans debated whether or not the 42-year-old ever really had cancer.
This is thanks to a respected royal correspondent! As we all know, theories about Kate’s health and whereabouts first popped up at the beginning of the year when fans realized she hadn’t been seen since the holidays.
She also went in for a January abdominal surgery and made it clear she would be out of the spotlight as she recovered. Things got more suspicious when the royal family dropped a highly-edited family photo and rumored body doubles started surfacing. Eventually, Kate came clean and revealed she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer after doctors initially thought her condition was “noncancerous.” She quickly started “preventative chemotherapy,” which she concluded in September, announcing herself “cancer free.” But over the weekend, an old report by Sky News correspondent Rhiannon Mills resurfaced that suggested maybe Kate never actually had cancer.
