Ncuti Gatwa and Nicola Coughlan are set to face a dinosaur in the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special, as revealed in the latest trailer.
The episode, titled 'Joy To The World', sees the Doctor, played by Scottish actor Gatwa, embarking on a journey through Earth's history where he encounters a character named Joy, portrayed by Bridgerton's star Coughlan.According to the BBC, Joy stumbles upon a secret entrance to the Time Hotel, leading her to "danger, dinosaurs and the Doctor".
The trailer kicks off with 32 year old Gatwa emerging from the Tardis, questioning "is this Christmas? " before a hotel employee informs him of their plans for "a special Christmas, everywhere, all at once".Coughlan's character, donned in a red beret and jacket, is introduced alongside the Doctor as she brandishes a hairdryer at a briefcase-carrying Silurian in a hotel room.
Other scenes show the Doctor wielding a lasso on a moving train and coming face-to-face with a dinosaur in a sunny locale.The teaser also features him confronting an identical version of himself, dressed in the same attire.
