Nine children and two adults have been taken to hospital after a 'chlorine leak' was reported in a north-west London swimming pool on Thursday (August 29).

Everyone Active sports centre on Watford Road, Wembley was evacuated as a 'precaution' and road closures were put in place, the Metropolitan Police said.

A chlorine leak was found in the learner pool on the ground floor of the three-storey building, according to the London Fire Brigade (LFB). Around 150 people left the building before the arrival of the Brigade. “The Brigade was called at 1.42pm and the incident was over for firefighters by 3.43pm.
