Businesses in Oldham have received more than £5 million in grants so far to help them stay afloat during the coronavirus crisis.
The council is administering the government’s small business grant fund and retail, hospitality and leisure grant fund locally, and has handed out £5.5m to date.

Chiefs say they are expecting to distribute around £52m in cash grants to businesses in total once all the grant applications have been processed.
