Paramedic's jaw broken in 'sickening' assault after man, 21, 'demanded inhaler'

A 21-year-old man has been arrested after a paramedic had his jaw broken following a "sickening" attack. Police said officers were called just after 9pm on Sunday following reports that a West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) paramedic had been assaulted.

The man had allegedly demanded an inhaler before punching the paramedic in the face in Coventry, West Midlands. Police said it is understood an ambulance had been sent to the address after a man suggested he was suffering from breathing difficulties.
