Pendulum emcee’s recent cancer diagnosis was brought to light after a fundraiser was launched to relieve the financial burden of his treatment.
Mount had been diagnosed with acute monoblastic leukaemia four months prior.During this time, Mount had been hospitalised for over 200 consecutive days.
In the fundraiser page, Mount’s brother Jeremy shared that Ben was first hospitalised last August and suspected to have tuberculosis.
This was later discovered to be a “rapidly-growing, antibiotic evasive/resistant” superbug which created an abscess in his lung.He was admitted to hospital again and placed in an induced coma for six weeks and it was doubtful at times whether or not he would survive.Earlier this week (February 17), Ben Mount took to Instagram to share an update on his health and hospitalisation.
