A young Perthshire piper celebrated Thursday’s weekly ‘Clap for our Carers’ with a tune she had written herself.Fourteen-year-old Annabel Charlton, whose mum and dad both work for NHS Tayside, wrote the song specially for the NHS.Mum Caitlin was moved to tears as her daughter’s bagpipes sounded across Pitlochry on Thursday evening at 8pm.Musically gifted Annabel plays with grade 3b Edradour Pitlochry and Blair Atholl Pipe Band.The talented teenager has piped her way from amongst hundreds of hopefuls to earn an audition with the National Youth Pipe Band for Scotland.
The audition was set to take place just before lockdown but has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak.Caitlin, a registered nurse, is the medicine for the elderly
