Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan lost it on today's Good Morning Britain in scathing attack on those ignoring the UK's lockdown. The presenter, who is celebrating his 55th birthday today, lashed out at "another load of idiots" who have been playing football and hosting a karaoke party.

But he reserved his harshest criticism for Premier League footballer Jack Grealish and Labour MP Stephen Kinnock. The Aston villa star was snapped looking dishevelled in the street after a Range Rover hit two parked cars on Sunday morning - leading Piers to blast his "selfishness and recklessness".

While the MP for Aberavon drove to his parents' house to wish his dad happy birthday - with Piers questioning whether this was "essential travel".
