Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Dr Hilary Jones gave his opinion on startling scientific reports that children under the age of 10 can hug their grandparents as they can't transmit coronavirus.

Switzerland's health ministry's infectious diseases chief Daniel Koch has said that their scientists have concluded that young children cannot transmit covid-19.

Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain today, he said: "So the Swiss findings fly in the face of everything that we've thought about before. "Even if the child is not transmitting the virus in their breath, through respiratory means, certainly the virus can be transmitted by touch."
