Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has come under fire from his own son following his recent admission about his post-coronavirus lockdown plans. Rather than spending time with his loved ones, the father-of-four admitted he's heading straight to the pub once the bug has passed.

On Tuesday's Good Morning Britain, the 55-year-old chatted to the show's medical expert Dr Hilary Jones on what they miss the most as Brits continue to adapt to life in lockdown.

He admitted that he misses the freedom of popping down to his local boozer, something that didn't sit right with his eldest son Spencer.

During the discussion, Piers said: "I miss the spontaneity of being able to say, like that 'shall we go to the pub?'" Spencer, who was watching the show, didn't take too kindly
