Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

The squirming Culture Secretary was made to question Victoria Beckham's morals during a tense interview with Piers Morgan. The outspoken Good Morning Britain host grilled Oliver Dowden over the 'misuse' of the government's furlough scheme.

Piers was furious that the wife of millionaire footballer David Beckham had put 30 staff from her "failing vanity project" fashion business on furlough, despite their family being worth in excess of £340million.

Mr Dowden was asked to give a message to people who "can afford to pay their own staff" but are using taxpayer money instead.
