Queen Camilla's son, Tom Parker-Bowles, has shared a positive update on King Charles' health amidst his cancer treatment while promoting his new culinary book, 'Cooking and The Crown'.The food critic and author revealed that the King's "treatment is going well" and spoke of how his mother is handling the situation, saying: "She's tough, my mother".

Despite the diagnosis earlier this year, the King has been receiving outpatient care and appears to be on the mend. A source close to the Royal family has indicated that Charles' health is "heading in a positive trajectory", which bodes well for the upcoming Royal tour. The King and Queen Consort are gearing up for a significant trip to Australia and Samoa next month, marking the monarch's most extensive travel since starting his cancer treatment in February.Their itinerary includes arriving in Australia on October 18, with a six-day stay before heading to Samoa for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), and returning to the UK on October 26.

To ensure the King remains in good health throughout the journey, the schedule allows for plenty of rest with just three days of official engagements.

Buckingham Palace has commented on the planning of the trip, stating: "We've had to, as you would with any visit, think about how you can ensure Their Majesties energies are preserved to be at their best." He further stated: "There had been some hope earlier in the year for Their Majesties to be able to visit New Zealand and on doctors' advice that unfortunately wasn't able to take place.
