Sir David Jason, famed for his role in Only Fools and Horses, has opened up about enduring a "terrifying" health ordeal that he details in his latest memoir 'This Time Next Year'.
At 84, the actor shared the challenges with one of his hips, attributing the troubles to his physically demanding acting career, which often saw him "bouncing off beds and sofas" and making daring moves through hatches.
In an effort to resolve these issues, Sir David underwent surgery in 2023 to have his left hip replaced with a titanium one, joking that the operation made him feel like he was "becoming Captain Scarlet".
Despite his initial concerns over the hip replacement procedure, Sir David described the experience in both humorous and candid terms, reports the Express.
