Rylan Clark-Neal has compared MPs to "broken Tamagotchis" when they fail to answer questions about the coronavirus outbreak.
The telly favourite, 32, did not name any politician in particular in his pointed tweet but insisted public servants owe it to viewers to answer questions put to them.
Rylan suggested a new law should be introduced to force public servants to answer "simple yes or no questions" when put to them in an interview.
He insisted politicians start to sound like the handheld digital pets popular with kids in the 1990s when they repeatedly fail to answer a question.
