Scots pensioner dies in hospital 10 days after horror crash as heartbroken family pay tribute

A pensioner has died 10 days on from a horror crash in Aberdeenshire.Wilma Porter, 79, has passed away after she was involved in a collision on the A92 near Gourdon at around 11.45am on Monday, December 9.

Officers were called to the collision, which happened around one mile south of the village and involved a blue Ford Focus and a black Kia Ceed.Wilma, from Montrose, was driving the Kia.

She was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment where she sadly died on Thursday, December 19. Her heartbroken family have now issued a statement through Police Scotland thanking the emergency services for their assistance following the tragedy.They said: "We would like to thank the emergency services, along with all the staff in A&E, ICU and HDU on their continued efforts throughout this difficult time.

We ask that you please respect our privacy during this period."Sergeant Pete Henderson said: "Our thoughts are with Wilma's family and friends and those affected by the crash at this difficult time.
