A car has smashed through a post office window on a Scots high street as local cops ask the public to avoid area.Emergency services, including officers from Police Scotland and crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), raced to Church Street in Tranent on January 9 at around 11.30am after reports of a one-vehicle smash.
Shocking images show the vehicle lodged into the shop window with glass and debris lying across the pavement. Police remain at the scene and the street is partially closed off to locals.
It's believed two people were in the black vehicle when it crashed into the commercial building. The conditions of the people involved is not known at this time.One eyewitness Sharon Stirling, who was first at the scene, said she heard a loud bang while out walking her dog and that two people were in the crash in the East Lothian town.She added: "I could not get her out from the driver's side because of the steel barrier.
I was just passing the area when I heard a bang and rushed to her aid. I was around the corner with my dog when I heard it.The girl is ok but in shock.
