Scots summer holidays abroad "unlikely" to go ahead due to coronavirus pandemic

Scots have been warned that foreign holidays are “unlikely” with summer effectively being cancelled due to the pandemic. UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock told ITV’s This Morning programme that social distancing will remain in place for some time making international breaks difficult.

When asked if summer was cancelled, he said: “I think that’s likely to be the case. “We haven’t made a final decision on that yet but it is clear that we will seek to reopen hospitality, some hospitality, from early July if we keep successfully reducing the spread of the virus. “But social distancing of some kind is going to continue.
