These sobering images show a hard-working NHS nurse sitting on her kitchen floor with her head in her hands after completing a gruelling 12-hour shift treating coronavirus patients.
The woman, a mum-of-two called Natalie, looks exhausted as she holds her head in her hands. Natalie works as a staff nurse on an intensive care unit, where she deals with dozens of Covid-19 patients every day.
A number of particularly poignant photos show the nurse, still in her blue work scrubs, sitting at home after work. Other images show Natalie, who is in her 30s, reaching into the fridge to get something to eat and curled up on a chair with a glass of wine and a book.
