That’s because Rodney Wescott, husband and father of two, nearly died after his bout with COVID in 2021.But, now he’s on a mission and Sunday, he’ll be on the starting line at the Broad Street Run."They told me, they said, ‘You have 15 minutes to live,’" Rodney Wescott stated.COVID had ravaged his body and his life flashed before his eyes in 2021.

Then came the ventilator and through the power of medicine, sheer will to live and prayers, Rodney beat the odds during the height of the pandemic."I woke up and my whole life was turned upside down.

2 men sought in several strong armed robberies at King of Prussia Mall, police say

UPPER MERION, Pa. - Two Philadelphia men are wanted for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars in merchandise from high-end retail stores at the King of Prussia Mall over the last several months. Anthony Abner,35, and Brian Hughes, 32, are connected to at least seven thefts and strong-armed robberies, five of which happened between February and May. In one incident, authorities say the men stole over 40 pairs of Octane jeans and merchandise totaling more than $15k. They're accused of hitting big-name store located inside the mall like Sunglass Hut, GAP. During the stretch of robberies, police said the men have become physically aggressive. In one case, police say an unidentified man working alongside Hughes forcibly pushed a 77-year-old Optical World employee against a wall before grabbing 10 pairs of glasses. That theft, according to police, totaled more that $18k. "In this day and age, the world is going through things, things we’ve never gone through, and so I think security is the number one priority everywhere," Amber Diaz of Port Richmond said.Court documents show the pair is also wanted for at least one theft at a Sunglass Hut in Cherry Hill. PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphians are known for having an edge, but this probably isn't something to be proud of. A recent survey found that among nearly 30 cities in the country, Philadelphia has the rudest kids and teens. Over 1,400 people were asked by Solitaired.com to rate the rudeness of the kids in their city on a scale of 1-to-10, with 10 being the rudest.The survey used 5.90 as the average on its ‘Rudeness Scale.’ Philadelphia ranked number one at 7.21, San Francisco was next at 6.78, and New York City's was third at 6.55.Participants also ranked what they believe are the rudest behaviors among children in their city, and which age groups displays those ill-mannered behaviors. WEST ROCKHILL TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Seven children were removed from their home in Bucks County after officers found them to be living in "unsanitary" and "unsafe" conditions, police say. Man fatally shot on SEPTA bus in Germantown, police say

PHILADELPHIA - An investigation is underway in Philadelphia after a man was fatally shot on a SEPTA bus, police say. According to authorities, the shooting erupted inside a SEPTA bus just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday evening in the area of Germantown Avenue and E Bringhurst Street. Police arrived on scene and entered the bus, where they found a man lying on the ground bleeding, police say. The man was rushed to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:04 p.m., investigators say. According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, the man is currently a John Doe believed to be in his 20s. Investigators say the partition between the driver and the passenger area was struck by a bullet.
