A community group in Manchester is continuing to feed vulnerable people and the homeless throughout the coronavirus crisis – despite losing their jobs.
Cracking Good Food helped to deliver 145 meals to volunteers, community centres and soup kitchens across the city over a two-day period – and demand is increasing ‘by the hour’.
Most of the food supplies have come from Unicorn Grocery Workers Co-operative in Chorlton, where CGF’s founding director Adele Jordan had been a member.
CGF have set up an emergency coronavirus appeal asking people to donate whatever they could spare – money, food, cooking skills and even their time.
