Australian TV presenter Liz Cantor encountered a shocking health scare just weeks before her mum was diagnosed with cancer. The terrifying ordeal emerged for the 42 year old when she discovered a lump on her breast while taking a shower.
Liz, who is best known for her presenting duties on Channel 10 News First Queensland, underwent tests after discovering the lump.Thankfully, it wasn't cancer, but the mum of three later revealed that she had been diagnosed with PASH (pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia) - a non-cancerous breast condition that can have the appearance of a tumour.
However, just a month after her own worrying health scare, Liz learnt that her mum, Becky, had been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer.
Speaking to the Gold Coast Bulletin of hearing her mum's diagnosis, Liz said: "I’ll never forget, those moments in life imprint, they are never lost." She continued: "I was just pulling into the driveway at home from a 10 News weather cross and my phone rang and it was Mum and Dad together telling me she had cancer.
