The UK's coronavirus death toll has risen to 28,712 after a further 229 patients sadly died in hospitals. It marks the lowest daily increase in more than a month, since March 30.
England saw the bulk of the deaths, with 204 further patients dying. Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced a total of 1,576 have now died in Scotland following an increase of five deaths.
The number of positive confirmed cases in Scotland is now 12,226, up 169 in the past 24 hours. Wales saw 14 further deaths, increasing the total to 997, with 10,524 now testing positive, up 195.
