The UK's coronavirus death toll in hospitals has increased by 27 - the lowest rise on a Sunday since the lockdown began. England reported 26 new deaths, Wales recorded one while Scotland and Northern Ireland both recorded no deaths.

The country's hospital total is now 32,815 but this does not include other settings such as care homes. The news comes as it has been reported that Boris Johnson is set to announce a "one metre plus" social distancing rule on Tuesday in a bid to salvage the UK's tanking economy.

The Prime Minister's move will apply to all venues including offices, schools and pubs and will take effect from July 4, the Sunday Telegraph reported.
