The UK will roast in a 20C+ mini heatwave this week as the coronavirus lockdown continues, before the weekend delivers much-needed cooler conditions.
Brits were pictured defying the shutdown on Sunday as temperatures soared, with some selfishly having BBQs in public spaces and sunbathing in parks.
The sudden burst of warm, Spring-like weather arrived in the form of an area of high pressure, which is now set to continue for most of this week.
It will keep temperatures in the late-teens and low 20s for most, while Wednesday is set to be the hottest day – with 23C set for parts of south-east England.
