Thousands of construction workers are due on site this morning (Tuesday) amid confusion over whether they should follow the government's advice to stay at home.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson last night ordered the entire country not to leave the house in a bid to contain the coronavirus outbreak.

The limited exceptions are to buy food and medicine, exercise once a day, and for work if your job cannot be done at home and is 'absolutely necessary'.

Immediately after the PM's announcement at 8.30pm last night, concerns were raised by the construction industry as to whether they should go to work.
