A prisoner is on the run after escaping from Salford Royal Hospital, the Manchester Evening News understands. The offender, who was jailed at Forest Bank, absconded after receiving treatment at the hospital on Stott Lane on Monday (October 7).
Residents near the hospital say they have been told by police that the prisoner was wearing a 'grey top' and was in 'handcuffs'.
The individual, whose identity has not yet been revealed, was under escort at the hospital, the prison has confirmed. The M.E.N.
understands the prisoner was taken to Salford Royal for treatment but escaped, prompting a major search stretching as far as Sale.
