Voters have issued a damning verdict on the Tories' handling of coronavirus in a poll for the Daily Mirror. Survation quizzed 1,238 people online on October 8-9 and found some surprising results - along with others that probably shouldn't surprise us by now.

The message punching through is one of a divided nation. Northerners were more likely than those in southern England to criticise the government's approach.
