An air ambulance was called out after a man suffered a 'medical episode' in Bury town centre. The helicopter landed on Matalan car park on Foundry Street after the man reportedly collapsed outside a takeaway on nearby Rochdale Road.
A number of ambulances were also called to the scene at around 1pm today. A nearby shopkeeper said: "He was on the floor outside Eat & Chill. They were doing CPR on him. "There were three ambulances and the helicopter landed on the car park.
He was probably in his 50s." A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said the male had been taken to hospital where he was receiving treatment.
