As Covid-19 cases continue to surge in Ireland, the Cabinet met this morning to discuss the latest recommendations from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
At the meeting, Ministers heard that Covid-19 case numbers will exceed 900 this evening. The restrictions agreed today are to be reviewed on 12 January.

Hairdressers are to close on Christmas Eve. Non-essential retail will remain open but shops will be asked to postpone January sales.
