Boris Johnson has admitted that a coronavirus vaccine may never happen – as he refused to gamble on one as part of his official lockdown escape plan.
Writing in the 50-page Government “recovery strategy”, the PM warned: “hope is not a plan.” He said: “It is clear that the only feasible long-term solution lies with a vaccine or drug-based treatment. “But while we hope for a breakthrough, hope is not a plan. "A mass vaccine or treatment may be more than a year away.
