Coronavirus: Ayrshire COVID-19 cases rise slightly but hospital patients decrease overnight

More than 10,000 people in Scotland have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.Tragically, another 47 people have passed away after contracting the disease which takes the Scottish death toll to 1231.A total of 10,051 have been diagnosed in Scotland with 47,749 tests carried out.

Across the NHS Ayrshire & Arran region, a total of 692 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 which is an increase of 14 since yesterday's update.

The number of patients in intensive care within the health board's region with suspected or confirmed coronavirus stood at 7 at midnight.Meanwhile, the number of people in hospital with confirmed or suspected coronavirus at midnight was 102 - 11 less than yesterday.The Scottish Government provided the figures this
