Everyone from McDonald's to Primark and John Lewis have said they're closing stores as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Shops were not told to close alongside pubs and cinemas by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, while restaurants and cafés were told they could stay open for takeaways and food delivery, but that hasn't stopped chain after chain after chain making the decision on its own.
All 1,3000 McDonald's will close from 7pm on Monday, while Subway has said its branches will shut by 5pm. Pret, Starbucks and Costa have also said they will shutter shops.
Major restaurant chainc including Nando's, Pizza Express and Zizzi have also closed. That leaves hungry customers on the high street with the options of Greggs, KFC, Café Nero, Burger
