The UK High Street is all but closed for business as the coronavirus pandemic forces Britain into near lockdown. Shops and restaurants are shutting as the pandemic sweeps through the UK, with the death toll standing at 289.
Brits have been urged to stay indoors with pressure mounting on Prime Minister Boris Johnson to enforce a full-scale lockdown.
Pubs, restaurants and bars have already been told to close, with the government also set to urge non essential shops to shut.
But many big name retailers and food chains have already been taking it upon themselves to close stores ahead of the likely shutdown.
